Detra Hicks, BWRC staff volunteer and supporter, presents her play “Life Changes,” which follows nine friends as they learn that the art of living is as much about letting go as it is holding on. They each suddenly find their meticulously planned lives thrown off course when circumstance forces them to confront some of life’s toughest questions.

The much-beloved longtime BWRC mentor and teacher Dr. Venise Berry, associate professor of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Iowa, adds yet another achievement to her long list of accomplishments. The inspirational Dr. Berry has also joined the faculty of a low-residency MFA creative writing program in Boston.
